"Thank you for submitting "LyX" organization application to Google Summer
of Code 2011. Unfortunately, we were unable to accept your organization's
application at this time. We received many more applications for the program
than we are able to accommodate, and we would encourage you to reapply for
future instances of the program.", according to Google.
Anyone, any ideas what went wrong?
Visibility... As far as I know Abiword and Koffice developments are much
less lively than LyX but they get selected every year... LyX is just too
specialized...

In an-email I got from Leo, he tells me that he got and email from
Carol Smith, Program administrator for the Google Summer of Code
program. She said:

"If your organization was rejected and would like to receive feedback on your
application you can either email me directly or participate in an IRC meeting
on Tuesday, 22 March at 16:00 UTC [2]. This IRC meeting will be held in the
Freenode #gsoc channel.

Anyone wants to pick up the offer? Her email is ***@google.com

Cheers,

Stefano

I´ll try to be part of the meeting on freenode. It looks my class on
Tuesday has been canceled, so I should be able to make it.

Cheers,

Stefano
