I added this module after a discussion. We came to the conclusion that a module is perhaps not the
best UI but simple and intuitive for the users. I therefore created it and also to use it for our
new thesis template.
I saw today Helges documentation for it. I will review it and add it to the docs (if possible as
addition to the UserGuide).
There is the ideal, and there is what we have. The "ideal" way would be to ensure that the extra paragraph types for running headers appear if and only if page layout "fancy" is checked. Currently, that can't be done with modules. But at least we have the running headers now, which is nice.

The biggest problem I see is that the current module is for single-side printing only. Fancyhdr support double-side printing too, and then you have separate left/center/right header/footer for odd and for even pages.

I am not sure what the best way is:
* add to this module? That adds many new paragraph types, which will be "just clutter" for those that use single-side printing.
* make another module for dual-sided printing? Less clutter, but switching between double- and single-sided print will be harder.

Integration into LyX is the ideal way, but then someone has to do that instead.

Well spoken. We were aware of that issue but what we have now is much better than before and the
header/footer issue came up very often in the user mailing list.

That is not true. Please have a loot at sec. 6.11 of the UserGuide in SVN.

What do you miss? Currently you can do 2-page headings with the optional arguments. I can also add
support for the special commands but from my point of view the current solution supports the same
features, or do I forgot something?

The problem is that we begin to weaken the module concept. I fear we end up
with modules being a "wastebin" category, where we put everything we are to
lazy to develop a decent GUI for.

That would be a pity, since the module concept is very valuable in itself.
